§ 13.12.150. Connections, joints and material.

Latest version.
  • All house connections shall be of cast iron pipe jointed with lead or prefabricated rubber or neoprene gasket, or such other material as may be approved by the township engineer or the then current version of the National Standard Plumbing Code. Any damage to the township sewer system arising during installation shall be repaired at the expense of the person to whom the permit for installation has been issued. If it is impossible to make a connection to a Y or T branch, making it necessary to cut into the main sewer, the connection shall be made as directed by the township engineer or plumbing inspector. It will be mandatory for anyone making a connection to the public sanitary sewer to provide a lookhole, peephole or inspection hole on township property near the private property line. The lookhole, peephole or inspection hole shall be terminated at ground level and fitted with a brass ferrule.
