§ 13.16.390. Cost of inspection.

  • The contractor shall deposit with the township clerk prior to start of construction a sufficient sum of money to cover the period of inspection during the construction of the sanitary sewer. The deposit for inspection fees shall be established by the township engineer. Payment for inspection services shall be calculated in accordance with the provisions of Part 17 of the municipal land use procedures ordinance. Inspection charges shall be made from the first day that construction starts until the formal sewer acceptance, except for Sundays and holidays. At the completion of the work, the contractor will be reimbursed the difference between his or her deposit and the actual inspection cost. Construction shall be ordered stopped by the inspector if the deposit has not been made before previous funds are depleted.
