§ 2.112.110. Approval of new members by the council.

Upon election of a probationary member by the department, the secretary shall submit in writing the name of such probational member to the council for its approval by appropriate resolution. Upon such approval, such member shall be deemed to be a probationary member of the department. The township clerk shall indicate, by writing to the secretary, the committee's approval of the probationary member within thirty (30) days after receipt of the name from the secretary of the department. Should notice of the decision of the council not be received within such time, the member shall be deemed disapproved.
